Whatever our age, pottery has extensive benefits to our mind and soul. Sculpting clay is a three-dimensional art, and is considered to be one of the most creative activities.
Making pottery has a calming effect. The healing and calming nature of clay has been used to help people of all ages. Making pottery can enrich childrens’ lives in many ways; ranging from boosting their self-esteem to improving their motor skills. It engages the sense of smell with clay and paint, the sense of sight with artwork, and the sense of touch with clay.
The eighth collection of Auntie Me is inspired by the benefits of making pottery; the calming and healing effect we can all experience by being creative, and the desire to continue to grow our creativity.
